Chorley MP Lindsay Hoyle visited local volunteers promoting Parkinson’s Awareness Week.
Mr Hoyle went to Chorley Library and spent time at the Parkinson’s stall, which aims to raise awareness of the disease and the support available for those afflicted.
Mr Hoyle said: “I visited the Library to look at the display and talk about the work that is being done. There are 127,000 Parkinson’s sufferers in the UK and as yet there is no cure for this disease.
“I know that the numbers involved in the Chorley group have increased considerably and I would like to thank all those who have spent time organising the display at the library which helps raise awareness of Parkinson’s and the needs of those afflicted with the disease.”
