Vital equipment that could save lives is now more widely available in key areas across Chorley.
Chorley Council is to install a defibrillator in Astley Park at the football changing pavilion and already has the life-saving machines in reception at its Union Street offices, the town hall and outside the covered market.
Machines have also been installed at each of the leisure centres by Active Nation, which runs the centres on behalf of the council.
Coun Bev Murray, who oversees people’s well being for Chorley Council, said: “These machines can be vital in saving someone’s life as the one at the covered market proved recently when someone suffered a cardiac arrest.”
