The Easter holidays are gearing up to be a busy period as activities for families in Astley Park.

There will be lots to see and do right across Astley Hall, Coach House and the rest of the park.

On April 7 and 14 the whole family are invited to create an Easter craft to add to the display in the Townley-Parker room in Astley Hall.

Drop in sessions take place from 1pm until 3pm.

On April 7, 14 and 16 there will be ‘chick watch’ at Pets’ Corner with their newly-hatched fluffy friends having coin for a cuddle sessions from 10am until 3pm.

April 8 and 15 will see design and craft your own Easter egg hunt bag and take inspiration from some furry friends at Pets’ Corner from 10am to 3pm.

On Good Friday children will be able to design and paint their own Easter pebble at Pets’ Corner from 10am until 3pm.

From Good Friday until Easter Monday, April 21 visitors can join the bunny trail in Astley Hall with additional reading and craft activities on Saturday.

An Easter egg hunt will begin on Easter Sunday with the Astley Walled Gardeners and Lancashire Wildlife Trust, plus the bunny trail is back in the Hall.

Finally on bank holiday Monday, there’s story-telling and a St George’s Day trail.

All activities are available from 10am until 4.30pm.

Coun Bev Murray, who oversees Astley Hall, Coach House and park at Chorley Council, said: “We’ve teamed up with Pets’ Corner, which is run by the Brothers of Charity Services for Chorley Council, to offer lots of activities.

“Astley Hall and entry to Pets’ Corner are free but there will be a small charge to take part in the activities at Pets’ Corner, which goes towards the upkeep of the animals that live there.”

Astley Hall and the Chorley Remembers Experience in the Coach House will also be open noon until 4.30pm every day throughout the holidays.
