Original works by one of the world’s most prominent and controversial artists are on display at a gallery near Chorley.
One would not expect to be able to view original works by surrealist master Salvador Dali in Lancashire but Hepplestone Fine Art in Heskin are hosting an exclusive exhibition of the artist’s work however until Sunday.
The exhibition will include an amazing array of original drawings, limited edition prints and bronze sculptures by Dali along with a small selection of Pablo Picasso works as part of a special fine art exhibition.
Born in 1904 in Figueras, Spain, Dali is perhaps one of the most celebrated artists of modern times.
Best known for his enormous contribution to the world of surrealist art, he went on to inspire the works of Andy Warhol and the pop art movement, modern surrealist Damien Hirst and modern architecture including the Pompidou Centre in Paris.
Dali’s influence on modern culture continues today with few people knowing that he designed the logo for Chuppa Chups in 1969 which is still used by the international brand today.
The exhibition is open to the public with further information available at www.hepplestonefineart.com or by contacting the gallery on 01257 451121.
