Have your say on new plan for rehab centre in Charnock Richard

A provider of residential and nursing care is encouraging residents to view its revised plans to build a rehabilitation and therapy centre in Charnock Richard.

The Stocks Hall Nursing and Care Group has submitted a planning application to Chorley Borough Council redevelop Pemberton House Farm on Park Hall Road.

If approved, the plans would deliver a new, purpose built ‘Priory’ style facility offering services and support for those suffering from a range of mental health issues.

The group claims the centre would create up to 50 jobs.

The submission of the application follows the withdrawal of previous proposals for the site which was submitted in March last year.

The updated proposals have reduced the size of the building by 12 per cent, with a reduction in the number of rooms from 48 to 42 compared to the previous application, and the facility no longer proposes to treat those suffering from drug or sexual behavioural issues.

The plans will be displayed on Tuesday at Charnock Richard Football Club, Charter Lane, Charnock Richard, from 3pm and 7pm.
