Those who love cycling and would like to inspire others to get riding can sign up for a free ride leader course taking place in Chorley.

The council has teamed up with British Cycling to find the new ride leaders.

The free course will take place on Saturday, March 22 and will qualify participants to deliver guided bike rides for groups of beginner and intermediate level adults and accompanied children on roads and cycle paths.

Participants do not need to be a cycling expert or competitive racer but you must be confident riding in a group and have a good level of fitness. After completing the leadership award, ride leaders will receive free kit and British Cycling membership.

Anyone interested in becoming a British Cycling Ride Leader in Chorley, should fill in an expression of interest form on the website
