A great-grandmother is considering keeping her “skinhead” style for good after being pleased with the results after a charity headshave.
Jan Campbell raised more than £150 for Derian House with a charity head shave at Runshaw College last week.
Jan, 64, who lives in Chorley, decided to have her radical re-style for the children’s hospice as she had admired the work done there for many years.
She said: “I think it’s such a marvellous charity. I have children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, so it’s a charity I think is really worthwhile.”
Runshaw College barbering department offered to shave Jan’s hair for the event, which took place at the specialist hair and beauty campus in Chorley.
Barbering Level 3 student, Tommy Leech, quickly set to work on Jan’s hair with the clippers on a “hair-raising” zero setting.
A relaxed Jan said she was comfortable with her new style.
“I think it looks ace. I might even keep it like this,” she said.
