Campaign started to restore Chorley war memorial

A campaign has begun to restore Abbey Village’s war memorial.

MP Lindsay Hoyle and The Chorley Remembers project, which was behind the erection of the Chorley Pals statue and the upgrade of the Cenotaph are keen for improvements to be made.

Names on the memorial have started to fade and the structure needs maintenance.

Mr Hoyle, said: “Chorley has a proud history of remembering our war heroes. We have an obligation to remember our war dead and I hope Chorley Council is keen to work with community.”
