Two sisters are paying tribute to their step-mum with a giant tea party at the Pines Hotel, Clayton-le-Woods this weekend.
Leyland woman Pam Hamer, who died recently, aged 52, was step-mum to Alison Cooper and Louise Moon.
Alison and Louise have organised the huge party in aid of Macmillan Cancer support and are inviting anyone who would like to have fun and raise money at the same time to attend.
The tea party will take place on Sunday, September 8 from 10.30am-3pm at the Pines Hotel, Clayton-le-Woods.
Alison, said: “We wanted to give something back to Macmillan after the care my step mum received.
“She battled though cancer right up to the end and didn't ever complain. She kept her pain under wraps as she didn't want to upset us, I think that tells you a lot about the type of person she was.
“She helped many people in particular her three slimming world groups which she ran, she gave people confidence and worked hard with the members to achieve this.
“I recently had my first child Jude and she loved being Gran Pam, this is one of the main things I will miss.
“We have 120 guests coming but need more. We would love families to come along and have some fun and refreshments.”
