A RAMSBOTTOM nursery has been judged to be ‘outstanding’ by government inspectors.
Ofsted inspector Julie Kelly said the privately-run Tiddlywinks Nursery School, in Square Street, had an ‘outstanding partnership between the nursery, parents and other providers’. The nursery, which has 82 two, three and four-year-olds on its roll, was previously rated as good after a previous inspection in June 2009.
A report after the most recent inspection, in June this year, said: “Children thrive and are highly motivated to learn as they participate in challenging activities designed to capture their imagination and interests, in this exceptionally high quality nursery.
“As a result, they consistently demonstrate the characteristics of effective learning.”
“And the report went on: Teaching techniques are consistently strong across the nursery and successfully reflect children's interests.”
