Bag a freebie for the garden from Chorley Council

First published in News

Residents can bag themselves free compost to help their gardens grow this spring.

Chorley Council has organised a Big Heap giveaway on Thursday, May 9, from 11am on Hallgate car park, Astley Village.

There will be a big pile of composted material which has come from the waste recycling plant at Farington, operated by Global Renewables on behalf of Lancashire County Council.

People can go along and help themselves to the compost on a first come, first served basis. They will be limited to two bags per person and it’s advised they wear gloves.
