Chance to sign up to energy switch

RESIDENTS in Chorley are being encouraged to join a community energy scheme which aims to save money on gas and electricity bills.

The collective energy switch was launched in February and, so far, more than 21,000 people have signed up across Lancashire.

To participate, people need to register their details before the April 8 deadline.

The ‘people power’ roadshow bus will be in Chorley town centre, next to the Flat Iron car park, all day this Saturday.

Those interested should bring along their latest gas and electricity bills to register. There will also be other opportunities to learn about the scheme with Chorley Council taking a stall on the Covered Market every Tuesday, until April 2, and sign-up sessions are planned for libraries across the borough.
