The Wedding Singer is to be the next show for Adlington’s St Paul’s Players.

The musical version of the popular film that starred Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore tells the story of Robbie Hart, the wedding singer, and Julia, the waitress, both engaged to be married, but to the wrong people, until fate intervenes to help them discover each other.

As the title suggests, there are weddings involved.

The cast and production team have a difficult task in getting the show ready in such a short time, only eight weeks from the close of the pantomime Cinderella to the opening of the Wedding Singer. But rehearsals are well under way with everybody working hard.

One of the standout aspects of the show is the music, with lots of memorable songs that will have you singing for days.

The show runs from Monday, March 4 to Saturday, March 9 at Adlington Community Centre, Railway Road, Adlington, all shows start at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available from John’s Newsagent, Railway Road or from 01204 407784 or 07403 287120.
