£10m extra for schools budget
5:46pm Wednesday 16th January 2013 in News
The 2013-14 schools budget for Lancashire has been set with leaders claiming to have found an extra £10million of funding.
The budget for Lancashire – which tops £827million – was signed off by Coun Susie Charles.
John Davies is the chair of the county’s Schools Forum, the body which shapes and influences school funding policy.
He said: “We can be well pleased with this settlement for Lancashire, given the national picture. More than 70 per cent of schools will be seeing an improvement in their budgets.”
