KING Richard Richard, of Mill Hill, Blackburn, passed away peacefully in Pendle Brook Care Home, Oswaldtwistle, on Thursday 11th April 2024, aged 91 years. Formerly of the ROF in Blackburn, Richard was a dearly loving husband to Elsie, a much loved father to Alison, Tony and Julie, a dear father in law of Dave, Janet and Doug, also a dear grandpa and great-grandpa to many. Richard will be very sadly missed by all his loving family and friends. A celebration of life service will be held at 10.30am on Monday 22nd April 2024, at Pleasington Crematorium. Family flowers only please, donations are welcome in memory of Richard for the Alzheimer's Society c/o Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136-8 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle. BB5 3DR. That’s me (Keith Turner) on the left with Dick (Richard) Julie and Andy up at Berwick.
Dick was a great guy I thought a lot about and did many runs with him in those days.
