Ref: School bans Christmas cards, Citizen, December 10. While your anonymous letter writer may have an opinion on the practice of exchanging Christmas cards, to use the adjective "evil" requires evidence that the practice results in "great harm and misery" (Collins Dictionary).
Even if one takes the school view that it increases carbon footprint it is hardly appropriate to use the word evil. How can exchanging Christmas cards be "an evil practice"? As Christians we need to learn to be wise in respecting the environment over which the Creator has in His goodness made us stewards.
If the school helps the pupils be good stewards then although it wouldn't be my method, I applaud their action.
