We feel supprt the Community School option for the proposed new primary school in Buckshaw Village.
We feel it would be a better use of public finances because it would actively promote the equality of opportunity agenda in our area.
Whilst having a high regard for the work of faith groups, we feel that education should be provided for all on an equal basis.
To use religious faith as a selection criteria, even of the last resort, could preclude children from attending their local school.
We feel that public monies should not be used to promote religions or faiths.
To preclude a taxpayer's child from school supported by public monies because of the taxpayer's personal beliefs, in our opinion, smacks of injustice.
