Last month I commented at how disappointed I was with the decision by Chorley Borough Council to invest £2m in a failing Icelandic bank.
I am now speechless by the premature statement of Councillor Cullens that there will be no council tax hikes and no job cuts.
It is far too early for either Coun Cullens or the officers at Chorley Borough Council to know the impact of the loss.
Surely it would have been prudent of Coun Cullens to bide his time before making such blind promises?!
