I was wondering if anyone could help me.
At the end of the row of stone cottages on Chorley Road, Adlington where I live, a pub called The Farmers Arms used to stand, until it was demolished along with another property in 1970, to make way for the construction of Daisy Hill Drive.
I have lived where I live now since 1965, and I have childhood memories of The Farmers.
Indeed my late parents used to look after the pub when the old landlord Johnny Hughes, his wife and children went away on holiday.
So I was wondering if anyone out there has any old pictures of The Farmers and the adjoining row from 1950 onwards.
So many good memories. I've been told that my row 79 to 91 Chorley Road used to have front gardens. It would be great to see it.
So if anyone could help I would be over the moon.
