Great work by Chorley dog wardens

I had some recent excellent service from Chorley Council which might be of interest to readers.

My wife and I were on our way to Northumberland for a holiday on Monday September 8.

We stopped at Charnock Richard motorway service station for a break, took our dog for a walk and he ran off into the bushes and through on to a road.

He was then picked up by a passing motorist who then left her with your dog warden staff.

We were distraught but I am writing to ask you to pass on our thanks to your dog warden staff who supported us magnificently - and in particular to the kind gentleman who walked our Jack Russell, Meg over from the other side of the motorway so we were reunited.

What we much appreciated was not just the kindness and support but also their concern that we were able to get on with our journey as quickly as possible.

I see from your website how successful the council is - and how staff have done them proud in this instance - so thank you again from us for their professional and valued service. Credit where credit is due.
