Review: Teen Undertaker, Channel 4

I HAD a mate at school who wanted to be an undertaker — he ended up working for M&S.

Old before his time, 19-year-old Paul and potential Miss Norfolk Laura have both achieved their ambition though, hence their appearance in this slightly strange programme.

Paul met his girlfriend at a funeral a could of weeks ago, yet has already got engaged — perhaps the job has made him conclude that there is no time like the present.

While filming, his uncle Dudley dies and he calmly takes on the job of preparing him for burial.

Laura, meanwhile, says she has had pictures of wine bottles, sheep and Norwich City badges requested for coffins.

She fails to win the Miss Norfolk title but engages the other contestants with tales of the dead.

While curling a “client’s” hair, she says: “A lot of my friends work in hair and make-up.

"I’m doing the same, but on the non-living.”

Fair point, I suppose.

This is a very poorly written article and nor worth the effort to read it let alone review it but in the hope that Andrew Mosley improves is reporting skills......
