The next St George's DAMS October production consists of two one-act comedies.

Slim Chance, directed by Lynn Moir, features seven ladies attending a meeting of a slimming club.

It becomes clear from their conversations that losing weight is not necessarily at the forefront of their minds and, in most cases, not their primary reason for attending the club.

Snow White's Revenge, directed by John Bradley, revolves around a dramatic society committee meeting whose only agenda item is to choose a play to enter for the local drama festival.

This proves a little more problematic than might be anticipated for a number of reasons.

The audience will certainly enjoy the surprise denouement.

Performances commence at 7.30pm on October 11, 12 and 13 at St. George's Church Hall, Halliwell Street, Chorley. Tickets are priced at £6 (£5 concessions) including refreshments and can be booked on 01257 276540.
