The acclaimed film adaptation of Les Miserables is the next offering from Chorley Empire Community Cinema, showing twice at the Little Theatre this weekend.
The film will be shown at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Sunday, May 26 on the state-of-the-art projection and sound equipment owned by the group.
Directed by Tom Hooper, Les Mis has an all-star cast which includes Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Helena Bonham-Carter, Sacha Baron Cohen, Samantha Barks and Eddie Redmayne The audience will see the movie version of the world’s most popular stage musical on the big screen and in surround sound.
The film is the epic story of Jean Valjean and his journey from convict to respected businessman, on the run from police with orphaned Cosette and caught in the violence and depression of a 19th Century Paris gripped by revolution fever.
Recent screenings of Skyfall and The Quartet have sold out so it is advised to purchase tickets, which are £4 in advance from Malcolm's Musicland, Chapel Street.
