Former Saved by the Bell star Dustin Diamond is back in jail after violating the terms of his parole.
The 39-year-old actor, who played Screech in the popular ’90s show, was sentenced to four months last year over a stabbing in a Wisconsin bar.
He was released in April but was arrested again on Wednesday because of a probation violation, an official at Ozaukee County jail said.
Dustin was convicted of disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed weapon at a trial last year.
He told jurors he took out a knife during a Christmas Day fight to try to ward off people, including a woman who punched his girlfriend. He said he then accidentally stabbed a man during an altercation.
Witnesses said that Diamond’s girlfriend, Amanda Schutz, pushed one woman at the bar and grabbed another woman’s hand, initiating the bar fight. Schutz was also convicted of disorderly conduct.
Ozaukee County District Attorney Adam Gerol said during the trial that Diamond lied about what happened and that the actor had scripted his evidence.
