John Boyega has revealed his father has punished him for keeping tight-lipped about Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The 23-year-old actor, who will star in the seventh instalment of the sci-fi series, has been given the very fitting role of doing the washing up in his household since he refuses to dish the details about the forthcoming film.

The high level of secrecy around JJ Abrams’ Episode VII, which sees Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher reprising their roles, is well-documented – with only the director allowed to give out the odd gem of information.

John is playing a character called Finn, and was dressed as a Stormtrooper in the trailer.
Other newcomers to the franchise include Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Daisy Ridley, Domhnall Gleeson and Andy Serkis.
Fans will have to wait until December 18 before the secrets are finally out.
