Damian Lewis plays a US Marine in new drama Homeland
Damian Lewis has claimed Barack Obama is a huge fan of his terrorist drama Homeland.
The British actor said the US President has got everyone in the White House tuning in to the political thriller on Showtime TV.
Damian said: "Not only has Obama been watching it but his aides have been calling up going, 'we need to see it.' So he's been getting entire state departments, top of the U.S. government, asking to see it."
The Blood Brothers star plays a Marine who has been missing in Iraq for eight years - but is suspected of being a terrorist.
Homeland begins on Channel 4 on February 19.
