X Factor singer Celina collapsed on stage and had to be wheeled into an ambulance after her girl group – 4th Impact – was eliminated during the latest results show.

The drama took place off screen, as the girls were comforted by their mentor Cheryl Fernandez-Versini following their exit from the ITV singing contest.

According to the Daily Mirror, Cheryl screamed for production staff to help, and two producers carried Celina backstage.

An X Factor spokesperson told the newspaper: “Celina was taken unwell after the show came off air. An ambulance was called and she was seen by medics at the studio.

“She has since gone home to rest with her mother and her sisters.”

This is not the first time 19-year-old Celina has been taken ill during the talent contest. Earlier this month she passed out backstage and was taken to hospital for a check-up.

She elected to perform with her sisters anyway – but after the performance she almost fainted again, and Olly Murs had to get a chair for her to sit on.

Pictures of Celina’s post-elimination collapse show her being wheeled into the back of an ambulance outside by paramedics.

Another shot shows her being led out, wrapped in a blanket.

Later, Cheryl joined Xtra Factor host Rochelle Humes on stage, confirming to the spin-off show that Celina was being treated following the collapse.

The band have now confirmed that Celina is “OK”, thanking fans for their support.

Cheryl also paid tribute to the group on Twitter.
