Emmerdale star Natalie J Robb has revealed she’d like Moira and Charity Dingle to call a Christmas truce.
The two women have been at loggerheads since Moira’s husband Cain (Jeff Hordley) let his ex Charity (Emma Atkins) and her son Noah move in with them because he doesn’t want to see her homeless.
But while Natalie admits it is fun filming the rivalry between the pair – which is headed for a festive food fight – she would like to see some Christmas cheer.
She said: “We’ve had a good laugh filming them because I’m friends with Emma Atkins in real life. I quite like the dynamic of Moira, Cain and Charity together.
“It’s a shame that Moira and Charity couldn’t become friends! They are both strong women. Sometimes the great thing about them is that Charity is so blatantly annoying, but Moira just tells it how it is to her. They have a weird honesty together.
“Maybe in the future they could become friends, or maybe not! They’d be strange friends and it’s an odd relationship, but maybe they respect each other for the women they are.”
But for Moira things start getting worse in the run up to Christmas as she feels Cain keeps siding with Charity.
Natalie revealed: “Cain won’t chuck Charity out before Christmas and Moira is starting to wonder why. It’s becoming an issue for Moira, because she’s wondering why Cain is not treating her as his wife.
“Moira is expected to just roll over and let everything go Charity’s way, when it’s her house. Obviously they’re married now so Cain has a right to let his family stay, but Moira feels like she is never consulted about anything.”
“Day by day, Moira notices that Cain’s moods are changing and he’s still letting Charity get away with everything. Moira is starting to get really stressed out about it.”
