Drake is yet to release a video for any music featured on his latest album Views – but he has made up for it by creating a short film.
Views was released earlier this year to raging commercial success and has inspired Please Forgive Me, which is available to watch exclusively on Apple Music. Obviously.
Please Forgive Me has been put together by Aubrey alongside director Anthony Mandler, who is known for his emotion-driven storytelling as seen on Lana Del Rey’s short film Ride, and David Beckham’s TV documentary Into The Unknown.
The 21-minute film features action scenes scored with tracks from Views, and shows Drake as a gang member whose girlfriend, played by Fanny Neguesha, is approached at a party by someone offering her $1m to sleep with a mysterious man… Cue Drake and co-conspirator Popcaan coming up with a scheme.
As well as cuts from Views, including the much-anticipated video for One Dance featuring Kyla, the film also features new music from long-time Drake collaborator and OVO Sound co-founder Noah 40 Shebib.
