Ben Affleck has joked that he and wife Jennifer Garner are not planning any big-screen reunions in the near future.

The couple met while filming Pearl Harbour in 2001, before starring together in comic-book movie Daredevil. They later married in June 2005.

He told Loaded: “My wife and I made Pearl Harbour and Daredevil. With our track record, I don’t know if anyone’s looking for a three-quel.”

Ben, who has three children with Jennifer, also joked that his wife’s action sequences in Daredevil should have prepared him for their life together.

“She won most of the fights in the movie, which was a pretty good predictor of what would happen down the road – my wife holding swords and beating the living s**t out of me,” he quipped.

Despite the jokes, the 42-year-old actor and filmmaker credited his wife for turning his career around. After a string of box office flops, including Jersey Girl and Surviving Christmas, he received a Golden Globe nomination for his performance in crime drama Hollywoodland in 2006.

His directing skills on Gone Baby Gone, The Town and the multiple award-winning political drama, Argo, have also been applauded.

He will next be seen portraying Batman opposite Henry Cavill’s Superman in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice.

Ben said: “Getting to know Jennifer, falling in love with her and being connected with her gave me a foundation to reach out and say, ‘Okay, I’m going to do Hollywoodland. I’m going to direct Gone Baby Gone’.

“Those were the steps forward I needed to put positive stuff on the board.”

Meanwhile, Jennifer has spoken out about the invasion of celebrities’ personal iCloud accounts, which saw some private photos leaked online.

“It’s an invasion. It’s violent. It’s a violent abuse of women,” she said, adding: “They’re not just doing it to any woman. These women know when they’re walking down the streets that so many people have seen them in this way. It just makes me want to hurt somebody.”
