Acts from Chorley Live will be returning to perform in the town centre as part of the festive activities in the run-up to Christmas.

Favourite performers from the live music event will take to the streets to bring a festive atmosphere to the town.

The acts will perform in four locations in town throughout the day playing a 20-minute slot at a time.

The performers on Saturday, November 23, will be Brian Hobbs, Tom Turrican, Music For All, Sarah Beattie, Chorley Gleemen, Morgan and Pipedream.

The performance locations will be Market Walk entrance from Flat Iron car park, the front of the covered market in Cleveland Street, St Mary’s Arch, in Market Street and New Market Street, at the junction with Chapel Street (opposite WH Smiths).

Performances will start at 11am and run through until 3pm with ten minute breaks between sets.

Councillor Peter Wilson, deputy leader of Chorley Council, said: “After the Christmas lights switch on we’ve got fun activities in the town centre each Saturday in the run up to Christmas.

“We hope people will come out watch them perform and tie it in with doing some Christmas shopping and support local traders. It should add a really good atmosphere to the town centre with the performances spread out to encourage people to spend time in different parts of the town.”

The next Christmas Saturday events will feature the cast of pantomime Aladdin and brass bands on Saturday, November 30, small business Saturday on Saturday, December 7, the launch of the Snow Slide and Christmas Markets on Saturday, December 14, and Chorley Sings Christmas on Saturday, December 21.
