Two former Coronation Street stars and a celebrity cast will be rehearsing in Chorley next month as part of their final preparations for their opening night in a new play about the comedian Les Dawson.
The play is called Cissie and Ada- An Hysterical Rectomy.
The cast will be in Chorley while making their way to the Blackpool Grand, Lancaster Grand and the Lowry.
It stars Steven Arnold, Coronation Street's Ashley the butcher and Eric Potts who played the baker Diggory.
The cast which includes Mr Thatcher impersonator Steve Nallon from Spitting Image will be rehearsing at the Chorley Community Centre before their first night in Blackpool on July 15.
The play has been put together by London-based producer Chris Mellor.
Chris was formerly Chorley's cultural service manager with the council and he is hoping the new and original comedy show will get into the West End after a national tour.
The show runs at the Blackpool Grand on July 15 and 16, call the box office on 01253 290190.
