I WISH somebody had warned me in advance about Channel 4's coverage last night.

There I was settled down in front of the TV after watching another hilarious episode of one of my favourite shows, Come Dine with Me, thinking "I'm too comfy to move to the remote. I'll just see what comes on next."

Then my senses were assaulted by Embarrassing Bodies.

Do you know what gynecomastia is? I do now.

Man boobs, or "moobs" as some call them.

Apparently they're more common than you think and can be pretty mortifying for your average bloke when they strike.

The show focused on the male of the species and all those embarrassing things that get them blushing, including premature hair loss and impotency.

It's the sort of programme my dad would have had to walk out of the room for - that and any adverts for "feminine" products.

By the end of the show I was quite the expert in men's health issues.

But my education wasn't over. Obviously keen not to leave anybody out, Channel 4 showed another Embarrassing Bodies two hours later, this time featuring us girls and the things that happen to us that we like to keep quiet about.

I tell you something, when it comes my time to go through the menopause it'll be a breeze with the tips I've picked up.
