THE award winning Chorley flower show will return for a third year.

The show, which won Tourism Event of the Year at the Lancashire Tourism Awards 2016, will showcase the best of professional and amateur horticulture on July, 29 and 30.

Councillor Alistair Bradley, Leader of Chorley Council, said: “Everything is going well in preparation for the show, we’ve got many top exhibitors and traders from across the country attending and the amateur section has been a real highlight for visitors.”

The event will include a professional exhibitors marquee, featuring gold-medal winning entrants from flower shows across the country, talks and demonstrations and appearances from celebrity gardeners Chris Beardshaw and Carol Klein.

There will also be an amateur marquee, where pot plants, flowers and floral art arrangements created by green thumbed locals will be featured and judged for a cash prize. The amateur competition is open to anyone and free to enter, the deadline for entrants is June 30 for floral art entries July 26 for other entries.
