Xenoblade Chronicles, Wii, £39.99 IT'S rare that a game gives an entire genre a lift, particularly one that is so stuck in its ways, such as the RPG.
But that's what Xenoblade Chronicles has achieved and now European gamers have a chance to see what all the fuss is about, more than a year since Japanese gamers first got their hands on the game.
Gamers who have imported the game will already know how amazing the fast-paced, tactical battle system is.
But now everyone can join the gloriously realised battle for Bionis, fighting the invasion of a terrifying mechanical army and uncovering the secrets of a mystical sword.
Huge doesn’t do the immense game world justice here, which is built on the remains of two giant titans.
With a fantastically rich, complex combat system in the real-time battles as well as the vast landscapes to explore, you couldn’t ask for more from the new entry to the RPG genre, and Xenoblade Chronicles pulls together all the elements that make this a title worthy of mention alongside names such as Zelda and Final Fantasy.
