HOUSE prices have fallen by less than three per cent in Bolton during the past six months, research has shown.

House prices have fallen by 2.3 per cent in the town since September last year, when the credit crunch intensified.

The figures contrast with average price drops of 8.9 per cent recorded across the whole of the UK by the Halifax house price index during the same period.
