People are being invited to be a king or queen for the day at Chorley's Astley Hall.
The bank holiday fun will have visitors dancing to medieval music as they find out how monarchs made merry in years gone by.
The free event, organised by Chorley Council, includes crown making for children and a prize for the best king or queen on the day - adults are welcome to take part too.
Councillor John Walker, Chorley Council's Executive Member (People), said: "Astley Hall is a great place to visit - especially at this time of year.
"If you haven't got anything planned for the Bank Holiday then this a great way to have some fun while enjoying the historic surroundings of one of Chorley's most famous buildings."
A Tapestry of Music will be performing in the Great Hall throughout the day.
The event starts at 12.30pm and will run until 4pm at Astley Hall on Monday, May 26, in Astley Park.
