Chorley all-rounder Tom Smith has been ruled out of Lancashire's County Championship match with Nottinghamshire with a thigh strain.
Smith had been in contention for his first start of the season as Kyle Hogg, Andrew Flintoff and Glen Chapple are also unavailable through injury while James Anderson is on England duty.
The four day match starts at Trent Bridge today with the Red Rose county looking for their second Championship win of the season.
