Call for Government to boost hospice funding

With Parliament now back in full flow I am eager to present the petition relating to hospice funding to ministers in Westminster.

The petition calls on the Government to increase funding to hospices and has already received widespread support from the local community in Chorley.

Hospices provide an invaluable service to those with terminal illness.

The help and support they provide to individuals and their families is widely recognised by local people and the petition, which calls on the government to increase funding to our hospices, has attracted a lot of support.

I am extremely grateful to all those people who have signed it so far.

The time has come to take the case to Westminster and I am urging everyone who has not yet signed, but who wishes to do so, to make sure they add their name to the petition.

Forms are available at my constituency office - 35-39 Market Street, Chorley, PR7 2SW.

In addition I would ask that all those people who currently have petition forms to return them to my office by the end of October in order that I can then present it to Parliament.
