With the Tour de France over half-way, it is good to see that the British riders are still competing and Chorley based Bradley Wiggins doing his best to finish the race.
Moving from indoor pursuit cycling to the Tour de France is a huge step and Bradley enjoyed his day out in front on stage six from where he led the main pack for the vast majority of the race only to be caught seven miles from the end.
While he has found it more difficult in the mountain stages I believe that his participation will do much to increase interest and participation in cycling, particularly amongst youngsters, and that can only be a good thing.
