ROGER SMETHURST Beloved husband of Tricia, much Loved father to Mark and Louise and father in law and grandad, brother of Susan, died peacefully in the Hospice on Saturday 15th September aged 74 years. The Requiem Mass will take place at Holy Souls RC church at 10 am on Wednesday 26th September followed by family service at Accrington crematorium. Family flowers only, donations please to East Lancashire Hospice.

I have known and worked with Roger for over 45 years at Gaskells. He was a very good friend and a collegue, He was a real gentleman and helped everybody at work. After our retirements we used to have our Gaskells reunion yearly and enjoyed our evening with all friends. You will be remembered and we will miss you. RIP Mike / Elizabeth Satiar
