EDNA EGGLESTON. JP (retired) 24.02.43 9.02.18 Edna a truly most devoted and wonderful wife to Chris and dearest mother to Simon and the late Timothy. A loving mother-in-law to Rachel, grandmother to Kaitlan and Mia. She adored them all. Edna passed away in the Royal Blackburn Hospital on February 9th 2018. She was inspirational to all that knew her and a most beautiful human being. A Service will be held at St Leonards Church Balderstone on Monday 26th February 2018 at 2.00pm prior to cremation at Pleasington. Reposing in the Chapel of Rest, Broomfield Place, Witton. Family flowers only, or if desired donations may be made in memory of Edna to the Shine charity or the Alzheimers Society c/o The Alty Funeral Service. My family and I would like to thank all the nurses and staff at the hospital and especially Steven and Janet Hayes and all their magnificent staff at Longworth House for their love, kindness and care of my wife and their support to me and my family; also all our wonderful friends and neighbours who have been outstanding. We would especially like to thank Tracey Hulton, Annette Clarkson and Donna for the care and love that they gave to Edna over the last three years which has been magnificent. I and my family are eternally grateful. A most precious human being, a very sad loss to all the people who knew her. Enq.
