JAMES CHARNOCK On Friday 12th May 2017,at Royal Blackburn Hospital, Fortified by the Rites of the Holy Mother Church, Jim aged 85 years. The dearly loved husband of Pat, dear father of Susan, Patricia, Andrew, Margaret, Jane, Paul and the late Christine, grandad beard to his fifteen grandchildren, loved great grandad to his nine great grandchildren. And a friend to many, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Holy Souls Church, Brownhill on Friday 26th May 2017 at 9.30am. prior to a private family committal. The family request that colourful clothing to be worn. Reposing in the Chapel of Rest, Broomfield Place, Witton. Family flowers only, or if so desired donations may be made in memory of Jim to CAFOD, c/o The Alty Funeral Service. Enq. ein Freund und ich, rolf, waren 1971 fuer einen Camping Urlaub in Schottland. Auf einem Campingplatz lernten wir die Familie Charnock knenen. Wir wurden eingeladen, nach unserem Besuch in Edinburg die Familie in Blackburn zu besuchen. Vielen Dank fuer die Gastfreundschaft!
Leider habe ich in all den Jahren seit 1971, keinen Kontakt zu den Charnocks gefunden. Nun, durch diesen Artikel in ihrer Zeitung, doch noch, leider zu spaet.
Vielen Dank furr die freundliche Aufnahme an Pat und Jim mit den Kindern.
