I knew Molly and her late husband Gordon throughout the 1950's when I was with Woodlands Scout Group. They were the loveliest couple and dedicated much of their lives to youngsters. They were great friends with my brother who was a Scoutmaster at Woodlands, and his wife. Around 10yrs ago I corresponded regularly with Molly who even then was thinking about others and was v concerned to learn about my brother and sister in law's ill health and frequently asked after them. Although I heard of Molly's passing at the time I was not aware of this posting. I retain fond memories of both Molly and Gordon.

I was taught by Mrs Airey in 1978 when I was 8 years old. I have only warm lovely memories of a brilliant teacher who truly cared. She helped me gain my length certificate in swimming and every school day ended with a chapter of a lovely story. I loved her Mrs Pepperpot stories. She was an unforgettable teacher. I remember her and smile. Thank you for a job well done. Rest in Peace. X
