A fallen tree caused long traffic delays on a busy route through Rishton.
Police closed Blackburn Road late last night (Thursday) following the incident.
Drivers were being asked to find alternative routes through the night, with many opting to head on to the M65.
It appears traffic was returning to normal levels following the closure.
